Khalid Ali Alturki
Mr. Khalid Ali Alturki is the Founder and Chairman of Khalid Ali Alturki & Sons (Alturki). He is a former member of the International Board of Advisors on the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, a founding shareholder and former Director of SAMBA (formerly Saudi-American Bank); a former Chairman of Arab Banking Corporation International Bank (ABCIB) in London and a former member of the Board of Saudi Arabia’s Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu. Although Mr. Alturki has been a successful businessman, his true passion is education and human development. To this end, he has devoted his time to a plethora of initiatives in these ﬁelds.
He is the founder and President of the Dhahran Ahliyyah Schools, a non-proﬁt educational organization, serving over 1800 Saudi and other Arab boys and girls in Saudi Arabia from kindergarten to high school. In addition, he is a former Chairman of the Advisory Council at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, U.S.A; a former member of the Board of Trustees of Middlebury College in Vermont U.S.A; a former member of the Board of Trustees at the International College in Beirut; a former member of the Board of Trustees at The Arab Open University; a member of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Thought Foundation in Beirut; a member of the Board at Tatweer Holding for the implementation of King Abdullah’s Program for Development of Education in Saudi Arabia; former Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Center for the Rehabilitation of the Handicapped in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and is currently a Member of the Board of Directors at the Prince Salman Center for Disability Research.
Mr. Alturki holds a B.A. and M.A. in International Relations form the American University, Washington D.C. and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Stanford University, California, U.S.A.
