Alturki Holding Appoints its First Independent Board Member

Alturki Holding is pleased to announce the joining of its first independent board member, Dr. Gianvito Lanzolla. We are confident that Dr. Lanzolla’s vast expertise will play a major role to help the Board of Directors ensure the Company’s sustainability while representing the interests of the shareholders and stakeholders involved.

“We are delighted to have Dr. Gianvito join our board as he brings vast experience and fresh ideas to the Board of Alturki Holding. With his capability and farsightedness as someone from outside the Group, I am sure he will be of great assistance to the Management and eventually to all the stakeholders and will serve as a catalyst to help us achieve our goals and objectives” expressed Alturki Holding’s Chairman, Mr. Khalid Ali Alturki.

Dr. Lanzolla is a Professor of Strategy at Cass Business School, where he studies the impact of technological and institutional change on competitive dynamics, firm strategy and firm organization. He has directed and delivered several executive development programs and has contributed as an advisor to many boards and executive leadership teams around the world such as Apple, Baker McKenzie, the UAE’s Prime Minister Office, Abu Dhabi Ports, and Microsoft.

“I am honored to be offered the opportunity to contribute to the further development of Alturki Holding by joining its Board as a Non-Executive Director. I am fully committed to providing advice and input to make a positive difference in delivering on Holding’s vision of sustainability,”  explained Dr. Lanzolla about his new appointment. 

Dr. Lanzolla holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Strategic Management. Before joining academia, he was the founder and managing director of “e-change Srl”, an e-business transformation provider which in 2002 he sold to a leading software company.
