Dhahran, Saudi Arabia – December 15, 2024 – Alturki Holding, in collaboration with Microsoft and Palantir, has launched the AI Challenge Award 2025, an initiative aimed at empowering national talent and advancing AI-driven innovation to support Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation journey.
Under the leadership of Mr. Rami Alturki, President & CEO of Alturki Holding, the AI Challenge brings together Alturki subsidiaries to propose solutions that leverage artificial intelligence to enhance operational efficiency, deliver economic impact, and drive innovation to the next level.
The initiative highlights Alturki Holding's commitment to innovation and its vision to empower people through cutting-edge technologies while strengthening strategic partnerships with global leaders like Microsoft and Palantir.
Rola Alghamdi, Data, Apps & AI Solutions Specialist at Microsoft, presented insights on AI use cases, showcasing the potential of these technologies in transforming businesses. Wasil Rezk, Business Strategy and Operations Lead at Palantir, discussed leveraging AI platforms for strategic business development. Professor Gianvito Lanzolla, Advisor to the President and CEO of Alturki, explored pathways and implications of governance in AI innovation.
During the event, finalists presented their AI proposals to an esteemed judging panel, which included:

● Rola Alghamdi from Microsoft
● Wasil Rezk from Palantir
The winning proposal came from Sawafi Levare, a subsidiary of Alturki Holding, recognized for its transformative solution. Tahreez, another Alturki subsidiary, was named the runner-up for its innovative approach, showcasing exceptional potential in leveraging AI technologies. The winning project will receive co-funding from Alturki Holding to support implementation by August 2025, while Tahreez’s initiative will also be explored for future opportunities to drive innovation within the Group.
