Alturki Holding supports community initiatives under Athar program

Alturki Holding signed MoUs with four Non-profit organizations through Alturki Community Impact Program “Athar” as part of the company’s long-standing commitment to support the development of the local community.

The four initiatives supported by Alturki include “Teach me a craft/ A’lemni Sana’”, a unique vocational training program by Al Bir Society in Um Alsahik, where 30 male and female students are taught to become financially independent, either by receiving training to fill a certain job or learning to start their own business.

The second initiative titled “You are not Alone/ Lasta Wahdak” is a program by Eradah charitable association in Aljubail where 15 children with special needs from under privileged families will be rehabilitated by Eradah’s staff of expert and specialized professionals to be integrated into the educational system and society.

The third initiative to receive Athar Program’s support is by the Committee for the Care of Prisoners and Their Families. “Training Tourist Guides /Ta’heel Al Murshed Al Seyahi” is an initiative targeting the inmates’ and released detainees’ family members with the aim of building their skills and capabilities in tourism guidance, as well as familiarizing them with the Kingdom’s rich culture and heritage.

Athar will also sponsor 4 units for the benefit of orphans, through the initiative by “Sakani”, Benna Charitable Society for the Care of Orphans and Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, aiming to secure orphans the homes they need.

Commenting on the selection process, Anas Aljuraifani, Corporate Communications, Sustainability & Strategic Partnerships Director, said: “We are delighted to reveal the selected initiatives to receive Alturki Community Impact Program “Athar”. We have received 19 proposals from different nonprofits across the Kingdom and sought to invest in diverse and sustainable initiatives that can make the biggest impact, to better serve our company’s focus areas: Quality Education, Health and Wellbeing, Vocational Training, Youth Empowerment and Sustainable Jobs.”

“Athar” Program’s investments are guided by Alturki Holding’s Community Impact Framework, which takes into consideration the important initiatives in the Kingdom derived from Saudi Vison 2030.
