On 10th April, Mr. Rami Alturki, President & Chief Executive Officer of Khalid Ali Alturki & Sons Holding Company hosted a special luncheon in honor of the visit by Simon Penney, Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for the Middle East, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
Attendees heard from Simon about the UK’s overseas trade promotion and investment opportunities and his desire to deepen the already strong links with industries in the Middle East and to raise the profile of the region in the UK, which would, in turn, benefit all parties. Simon also flagged the drive to increase Foreign Direct Investment into the UK and the region and highlighted UK Export Finance which can provide export credit.
The Luncheon was attended by Gary Hunt, Director of British Trade Office, members of the Chamber of Commerce and other family holding companies who benefited from a wide range of information about the two countries' trade potential and market access.
