Shaikh Khalid Ali Alturki

Mr. Khalid Ali Alturki is the Founder and Chairman of Khalid Ali Alturki & Sons Holding Company (Alturki Holding). Although Mr. Alturki is a businessman, his true passion is education and human development. To this end, he has devoted much of his time to a plethora of initiatives in this field. He is founder and President of the Dhahran Ahliyyah Schools, a non-profit educational organization, serving almost 2000 Saudi and other Arab male and female students in Saudi Arabia from kindergarten through high school. He is a member of the board of Mawhiba for gifted students in Saudi Arabia; a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Thought Foundation in Beirut; a former member of the board of Tatweer; and Member of the Board of Directors of the King Salman Center for Disability Research. Most recently, Mr. Alturki has been appointed by the Saudi Government to the Board Of Trustees of the Kingdom’s National Museum.
In addition, he is a former Chairman of the Advisory Council at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University, where he was instrumental in establishing Harvard’s first M.A. program in Contemporary Arabic Studies; a Former member of the Board of Trustees of Middlebury College in Vermont, U.S.A where he assisted in the establishment of its School of Arabic; a former Member of the Board of Trustees of the International College in Beirut; a former Member of the Board of Trustees of The Arab Open University; co-founder and former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for the Rehabilitation of the Handicapped in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Alturki is a former member of the International Board Of Advisors of the Council On Foreign Relations; a founding shareholder and former Director of SAMBA (formerly Saudi-American Bank); a former Chairman of Arab Banking Corporation International Bank (ABCIB) in London. He is a Former member of the founding Board of Directors of Saudi Arabia’s Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu.
Mr. Alturki holds a B.A. and M.A. in International Relations from the American University, Washington D.C. and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, California, U.S.A
